Hand-picked at their optimum point, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and vinified according to a process that is based on careful maceration with extraction of color, tannins and aromas from the skins, complemented by permanent pumping over during fermentation. This takes place in mills, at a controlled temperature between 28-30\u00baC, until reaching the desired Baum\u00e9 degree. At this stage, wine brandy is added (benefit), resulting in a fortified wine. High quality wine, obtained by blending wines from harvests from different years, in order to acquire a complementarity of organoleptic characteristics typical of this style of aged tawny. It ages in wood for variable periods of time, in which the age mentioned on the label corresponds to the approximate average of the ages of the different wines participating in the batch, expressing the character of the wine with regard to the characteristics conferred by aging in cask.<\/p>\n
Deep amber color with greenish edges. Extremely complex nose with hints of dried fruit, such as nuts, raisins and figs, enveloped by subtle touches of vanilla and honey. In the mouth it is dense, silky and concentrated, impressing with its freshness. Powerful and very persistent finish.<\/p>\n
Irresistible with a terrine of foie gras with aubergine and walnuts. A wonderful option to accompany an endless number of desserts, including delicious caramel brownies and walnut crostini with ch\u00e8vre cheese. Serve at a temperature between 12 and 14\u00baC.<\/p>\n
The wine must be stored in a cool and dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle must remain in an upright position.
