Winemaking

Hand-picked at their optimum point, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and vinified according to a process based on careful maceration, complemented by pumping over during fermentation. This takes place in stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature between 16-18ºC, until reaching the desired Baumé degree. At this stage, wine brandy is added (benefit), resulting in a fortified wine. Obtained by blending wines of varying degrees of maturation and provenance, conducted through aging in stainless steel and wood for a minimum of 3 years, thus guaranteeing a rich, aromatic final wine with a balanced sweetness.

Tasting Notes

Citrine-green in color, Kopke White has a rich and fragrant nose, where fresh aromas of citric fruits predominate. On the palate it is soft, velvety, with perfect acidity and a delicious finish.

Recommendations

This wine’s versatility extends to desserts, combining brilliantly with dishes based on tropical fruits, such as mango and papaya carpaccio. Serve at a temperature between 8 and 10ºC.

The wine must be stored in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations and the bottle must remain in an upright position. As a natural product, Port Wine is subject to deposits with age. Once the bottle is opened, it is recommended to consume it within 2 to 4 months.
