Winemaking

Hand-picked at their optimum point, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and vinified according to a process based on careful maceration, complemented by pumping over during fermentation. This takes place in stainless steel vats, at a controlled temperature between 28-30ºC, until reaching the desired Baumé degree. At this stage, wine brandy is added (benefit), resulting in a fortified wine. Obtained by blending wines of varying degrees of maturation and provenance, conducted through aging in stainless steel and wood for a minimum of 3 years, thus guaranteeing a rich, aromatic final wine with a balanced sweetness.

Tasting Notes

Vivid orange-brown color. Honeydew ripe fruit nose combined with fragrant vanilla notes. Soft and round on the palate, full of rich and enveloping flavors.

Recommendations

It combines perfectly with a wide variety of desserts where caramel, coffee, apricots and dried fruit predominate. Magnificently with caramelized walnuts, tiramisu, meringue hazelnut tart and brie cheeses. Serve at a temperature between 12 and 14ºC.

The wine must be stored in a cool, dry place, protected from light and temperature fluctuations, and the bottle must remain in an upright position. As a natural product, Port Wine is subject to deposits with age. Once the bottle is opened, it is recommended to consume it within 4 to 6 months.
