Winemaking and Aging

The vinification process is based on a light maceration with extraction of color and aromas from the skins, complemented by the pressing of the grapes before fermentation. This takes place slowly, in an open spout process in stainless steel vats, under low and controlled temperatures (between 16-18ºC), which guarantees the consistency of a fresh and aromatic style. Fermentation is interrupted by the addition of brandy (beneficio), resulting in a fortified wine. Obtained by blending wines of varying degrees of maturation and provenance, conducted through aging in stainless steel and wood for a minimum of 3 years, thus guaranteeing a rich and balanced wine.

Tasting Notes

Crystalline citrine color with a straw hue. It presents an exuberant nose of tropical fruits well combined with enveloping floral notes. Smooth on the palate, dry, with good structure and superb balance.

Recommendations

An engaging and refreshing option to start any meal. Served cold, or over ice, it’s perfect with salted almonds and olives. Deliciously accompanies light starters, such as a strawberry salad with spinach or a velvety salmon soufflé. The multiplicity of possible harmonies is surprising, leaving the consumer with the pleasure of discovering new tastes. Serve at a temperature between 8 and 10ºC.

The wine must be stored in a cool and dry place, sheltered from light and temperature fluctuations and the bottle must remain in an upright position. As a natural product, Port Wine is subject to deposits with age. Once the bottle is opened, it is recommended to consume it within 2 to 4 months.
